| Description | Proposed for the 2019 Chestnut Street Construction Project for the City of Auburn. The scope of work is a brief overview of the expected extent of work on each street included in this contract. This is only a proposed scope with associated estimated quantities. Items, extent and entire streets may be added or deleted as work progresses or to meet the available funding for this work. Chestnut Street Side of PAL Center: 1. Remove pavement at existing parking area. 2. Install slip form concrete curbing. 3. Grade the area with Type A Gravel and pave with 2" of 9.5mm HMA (Hand Pave). 4. Install 5' chain link fence and gate as directed. Westerly Side of PAL Center: 1. Box cut for new parking and connecting aisle from Chestnut Street to Walnut Street. 2. Parking lot & drive entrance build up 12" Type A, 2" 12.5mm HMA, 1" 9.5mm HMA. 3. Aisle build up 15" Type D, 3" Type A, 2" 12.5mm HMA, 1.5" 9.5mm HMA. 4. Sidewalk build up 12" Type A, 2" 9.5mm HMA (hand pave). 5. Remove concrete walkway into westerly entrance of PAL Center (paid under Item 202.20). 6. Install catch basins and 12" SD. Saw cut trench and pave as aisle build up. 7. Item 603.1791 for connection of existing 18" SD to new intersecting catch basins. 8. Stripe parking stalls. 9. Mulch along the backside of the sidewalk. 10. Loam and seed disturbed areas. Chestnut Street: 1. Install speed table and raised crosswalk as directed (hand pave). Allow for water to flow along curbline for the speed table. 2. Install CBs and SD at the raised crosswalk location. 3. Bituminous curbing disturbed during construction shall be reconstructed and paid under Item 609.111. 4. Build a drive entrance at the gravel parking area. 5. Paint crosswalk and raised tables. 6. Stripe center line on Chestnut Street. | ||||||
