Description

The work for Amy Lane roadway improvements includes. Removal of existing features along Amy Lane. Reconstruction of approximately 323 feet of 22-foot wide road with 2-foot wide concrete curb and gutter. Project includes grading, storm sewer, concrete driveway approaches, modular block retaining wall, and fencing. Work shall include any other incidental items and work described in the Project Manual, or reasonably inferable therefrom. Bids must be submitted on the Bid Forms provided in the bound Bidding Documents Package and be accompanied by the bidder's certified check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid. A performance bond will be required of the successful bidder. The successful bidder will also be required to obtain a contractor's license and submit a certificate of insurance for workers' compensation No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246 in regard to non-discrimination in employment. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities or irregularities, and to determine the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, and to award the contract on that basis. All Bidders must agree that such rejection shall be without liability on the part of the City for any damage or claim brought by any Bidder because of such rejection, nor shall the Bidder seek any recourse of any kind against the City because of such rejection. The filing of any Bid in response to this invitation shall constitute an agreement of the Bidder to these conditions. All disputes under this contract and any litigation resulting under this contract shall be filed, tried, remain and be ultimately resolved in the Circuit Court of Camden or Miller County on any appeal therefrom within the courts of the State of Missouri. The contractor hereby knowingly, intelligently and voluntarily agrees and waives any and all removal rights to federal court or the right to litigate the claim or any part thereof in courts of any other state for any reason. Completion Date: 60 Calendar Days Liquidated Damage:$500 for each and every calendar days.
