Description

The deadline for questions is Friday, October 6, 2023, at 5:00PM local time. Project Number - SE 23365, 81020-286 The project is a renovation and an expansion of the existing Midtown Water Park and consists of replacing the existing restroom/concession stand structure (excluding equipment room for the existing pool) with a new 2,136 heated SF building. The building is 1 story with slab on grade, constructed of concrete masonry units and steel. Exterior materials include metal standing seam roof, painted CMU, glazed CMU, and perforated metal screens. In addition to the heated SF, there is 1,791 SF of covered open-air space. The project will also involve expanding the existing pool deck, adding a splash pad on the expanded pool deck, site lighting, walkways, parking lots, stormwater management facilities, and landscaping. The project will include building and site demolition, clearing and grubbing, erosion and sediment control (installation, maintenance, and removal of erosion and sediment control BMPs), grading, storm drainage, utilities (water, power, and site lighting), concrete walkways, paved and curbed parking lots and driveways, and building construction. Landscaping will include sod, shrubs, and trees throughout the park. The contractor is expected to manage and stage construction to allow the existing pool to remain open during construction (when open during summer season) with minimal disruptions to it when it is open. The Instructions to Proposal Submitters, Proposal Form, Contract Agreement, Drawings, Specifications, forms of Bid Bond, Performance Bond, Payment Bond and other Contract Documents may be examined at the following: City of Carrollton, 315 Bradley Street, Carrollton, Georgia 30117. After evaluations, the City of Carrollton will identify the CM firm it will recommend based on scoring associated from information contained within their proposal. Fees, general conditions and reimbursables will be negotiated with the selected firm. If negotiations fail, the second ranked firm will be considered. The City, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to select the Bidder that it deems most advantageous to the City.
