Official plans and specs are available in the documents tab of this RFP. A single story Public Safety Building for City of Moreno Valley. Mechanical scope includes replacement of two existing rooftop AC units with two new 70-ton rooftop AC units, replacement of all VAV boxes at ceiling space as well as upgrade of building EMS with Pelican control. Electrical scope includes removal and replacement of power connection to new units. Structural scope includes seismic modification of existing platform to support new rooftop units. The building requires continuous air conditioning during the construction. Common supply duct loop with manual isolation dampers from rooftop AC units are specified to allow one rooftop AC unit in operation while the other rooftop AC unit is in the process of replacement. Contractor shall coordinate with City of Moreno Valley Public Works for EMS system connections and programming, and provide miscellaneous wiring and terminations as required for a complete and operational system. Contractor shall follow City provided engineered plans for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural trades as indicated in the construction documents. Upon completion of this project, HVAC system will be fully operational and code compliant. o All work to be performed during the hours of 8:00 AM to 5 PM. o Weekend work or after hour work must receive prior authorization by City of Moreno Valley Public Works. o All work to comply with plans and specifications provided. o All work shall conform to all applicable codes. o Contractors must comply with Riverside Sherriff's background check and City's insurance requirements. o Contractor to clean site daily of any debris. o Contractor to demonstrate upon completion, equipment operation. o Site will be notified of work to be performed and the impact that can be expected. o Welding screens, Vapor Barriers, Fire Extinguishers, Tape Barriers, Screens for flying debris, safety data sheet (SDS), and any other safety devices required shall be provided by the contractor and must be used at all times. o Contractor shall be responsible for returning City of Moreno Valley property (inside or out) to original, if not better state on all applicable areas of demo or new work. o Contractor shall be responsible for removal and replacement of any roofing, roof sheathing and ceilings to accommodate the new work. Materials shall match existing and roof warranties shall remain in place. o Any "or equal" submittal must be preapproved by the City of Moreno Valley in writing prior to bid. o Good workmanship is a must; all work will be inspected for compliance with City standards, compliance with construction documents and all applicable codes. All work must be of the highest standard.
