Description

Coordinate scope of this work with requirements for installation of new roofing system, refer to Section 07 54 00 for additional requirements Exterior Joints: Seal open joints, whether or not the joint is indicated on drawings, unless specifically indicated not to be sealed. Exterior joints to be sealed include, but are not limited to, the following items. Wall expansion and control joints. Joints between door, window, and other frames and adjacent construction. Joints between different exposed materials. Openings below ledge angles in masonry. Pursuant to California Labor Code 1773, the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations of the State of California has determined the generally prevailing rates of wages in the locality in which the Work is to be performed. Copies of these determinations, entitled "PREVAILING WAGE SCALE" are available for review on the internet at http://www.dir.ca.gov/dlsr/statistics_research.html. The Contractor awarded the Contract for the Work shall post a copy of all applicable prevailing wage rates for the Work at conspicuous locations at the Site of the Work. The Contractor and all Subcontractors performing any portion of the Work. Substantial Completion of the Work shall be achieved as set forth in the Contract Documents; Liquidated Damages will be assessed for delayed Substantial Completion Each Bid Proposal shall be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of: (i) cash; (ii) certified or cashier's check payable to the District; or (iii) a Bid Bond, in the form and content incorporated into the Contract Documents (the "Bid Security") in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of the Bid Proposal. Bid Bonds must conform to the following: (i) the Bid Bond is in the form and content included herein; and (ii) the Surety is an Admitted Surety Insurer under Code of Civil Procedure 995.120; (iii) authorized employees or representatives of the Bidder and Surety execute the Bid Bond and their signatures are duly notarized; (iv) the Surety's representative's authority to bind the Surety is attached to the Bid Bond and duly attested to by the Surety; and (v) all other information required by the form of the Bid Bond is completely and accurately provided. The District reserves the right to reject any and all Bid Proposals or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any Bid Proposal or in the bidding. Award of the Contract, if made by the District through action of its Board of Trustees, will be to the responsible Bidder submitting the lowest priced responsive Bid Proposal on the basis of the Base Bid.
