Description

Report No. 425-22-61 Question Deadline 11/07/2022 at 12:00 PM CT All inquiries and questions regarding the plans, specifications, and/or any part thereof, must submitted in writing electronically This project includes but is not limited to replacement of approximately 7,730 linear feet of existing 8 and 12 gravity sewer pipe with approximately 9,532 linear feet of proposed 12 and 18 gravity sewer pipe, respectively, beginning at the proposed Rosemary Development located northwest of Crawford Lane and Lillis Lane to east of Waterloo Lake. The project also includes replacement of approximately 1,525 linear feet of lateral gravity sewer lines ranging from 8 to 12 , pavement improvements, 18 storm drain installation, and abandonment of existing manholes and gravity pipe Proposals may be modified or withdrawn at any time prior to the time set for opening Bids. Bids must be plainly marked Waterloo Lake Sanitary Sewer Improvements Phase I All inquiries and questions regarding the plans, specifications, and/or any part thereof, must submitted in writing electronically, prior to 12:00 pm on Monday, November 7, 2022. Engineer will provide to prospective Bidders of Record such Addenda as Engineer considers necessary in response to questions received. Proposals shall be accompanied by either a Bid Bond from a surety satisfying the requirements specified below for the Performance Bond, Payment Bond and any other bonds set forth in the Contract Documents, or certified check upon a national or state bank in an amount not less than 5 percent (5%) of the total maximum bid price, payable without recourse to the City of Denison as a guarantee that the Bidder will within ten (10) days after Notice of Award enter into a Contract and furnish a Performance Bond, Payment Bond and any other bonds set forth in the Contract Documents upon the forms provided, each in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the Contract price, from a surety licensed to conduct business in the state where the Project is located and named in the current list of Surety Companies Acceptable on Federal Bondsas published in Circular 570 (amended) by the Audit Staff Bureau of Accounts, U.S. Treasury Department. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246, as amended by Executive Order 11375, and as supplemented in Department of Labor regulations 41 CFR Part 60. The City also reserves the right to reject any and/or all proposals, to award contracts for individual products or services as may appear advantageous, and in accordance with the law, to negotiate separately in any manner necessary to serve the best interest of the City. No bid may be withdrawn within forty-five (45) days after the date on which bids are opened. The surety shall have an A minimum rating of performance and a financial rating strength of five times the Contract price, all as stated in current Bests Key Rating Guide, Property-Liability. Each Bond shall be accompanied by a Power of Attorney authorizing the attorney-in-fact to bind the surety and shall be certified to include the date of the Bond.
