Description

Questions Due Date: May 25th 2023, 12:00 PM EDT Montgomery County Division of Parks, Trails, and Historic Sites is soliciting sealed bids from qualified Construction Firms to complete the structural repairs and exterior preservation of the Pennypacker Mills Barn, 5 Haldeman Road, Schwenksville, PA 19473. Montgomery County Division of Parks, Trails, and Historic Sites is seeking responses only from contractors, and its subcontractors and principal building trades personnel, with a minimum of five (5) years of experience working on similar projects involving historic buildings. SCOPE OF WORK DETAIL: Foundation Wall Repair METHODOLOGY: For each stage below best practice and method is determined through investigation and trials. Carefully remove all existing concrete stucco on the exterior of the foundation. Sound-out remnant lime-based material- it can remain if it is in good condition and well-bonded. Prepare previously non-parged substrate between joist cavities on west elevation wall top Dig down 12 below grade to point and apply stucco, all elevations Prepare the substrate, make repairs as necessary per NPS best practices and KEIM manufacturer specifications. Apply KEIM brand system. The new rendering is to be installed per manufacturers specifications. Apply KEIM brand system finishes. Installed per manufacturers specifications.
