Description | Sugar Creek Water Well No. 4 Rehabilitation: The work includes providing bonds and insurance; constructing temporary fencing; trimming existing landscape to allow access to the work area outside the plant fence, as approved by the Engineer or City; removing and inspecting the pumping equipment; replacing the pump and rebuilding the 350 hp motor; sounding the lap; performing any necessary mechanical and chemical rehabilitation to the well; replacing all column assembly components and accessories to a pump setting of 450 feet (450’); installing the pump, motor, column assembly and accessories; bacteriological testing; performing water well performance test; disinfecting the water well; performing water sampling and testing before and after water well rework; restoring site grading to original or better condition and hydro-mulching all areas within the plant site and all other adjacent areas disturbed during this construction; removing and replacing four (4) 16-inch butterfly valves, one (1) 16-inch silent globe check valve, two (2) 12-inch gate valves, flow meter, air release valve assembly, pressure gauge, high pressure cut-off switch, heated oiler excluding bucket, three (3) chemical injection points from the ground to the quill, and DIP from the first 45 degree bend on the well piping to the first flange outside of the fence; blast and re-coat above well piping; install work platform including stairs and handrails at oiler; replace site lighting with LED and new photocell; install on/off/auto switch for field lighting; fill in washed out low spot under the well piping; acid wash GST riser pipes (if needed); and remove the security fence including post in the ground, security box, cap security line at ground; and all items needed for a functioning water well. Alternatives for replacing the 350 hp motor and replacing the DIP from the first flange outside of the fence to GST No. 2 will be included. Great wood West Water Well No. 4 Rehabilitation: The work includes providing bonds and insurance; removing and inspecting the pumping equipment; replacing the pump and rebuilding the 250 hp motor; sounding the lap; performing any necessary mechanical and chemical rehabilitation to the well; replacing all column assembly components and accessories to a pump setting of 400 feet (400’); installing the pump, gear drive, motor, column assembly and accessories; bacteriological testing; performing water well performance test; disinfecting the water well; performing water sampling and testing before and after water well rework; restoring site grading to original or better condition and hydro-mulching all areas within the plant site and all other adjacent areas disturbed during this construction; replace discharge head; two (2) 12-inch butterfly valves; flow meter; air release valve assembly; pressure gauge; high pressure cut-off switch; heated oiler excluding bucket; 1-inch PVC line down hole for water level measurement and/or chemical injection; and one (1) chemical inject point from the ground to the quill; blast and re-coat above ground well piping; power wash and recoat fuel tank; inspect and rebuild right angle drive; replace insulation for gear drive cooling line; remove and reinstall the sound wall around the well; install lighting inside enclosure; and PLC/SCADA modifications provided by Prime Controls; and all items needed for a completely functioning water well. Alternatives for replacing the 250 hp motor, replacing the 12-inch globe check valve, and adding new conduit from flowmeter to the motor control center will be included. Homeward Way Water Well Rehabilitation: The work includes providing bonds and insurance; removing and inspecting the pumping equipment; replacing the pump and motor; sounding the lap; performing any necessary mechanical and chemical rehabilitation to the well; replacing all column assembly components and accessories to a pump setting of 460 feet (460’); installing the pump, motor, column assembly and accessories; bacteriological testing; performing water well performance test; disinfecting the water well; performing water sampling and testing before and after water well rework; restoring site grading to original or better condition and hydro-mulching all areas within the plant site and all other adjacent areas disturbed during this construction; remove all above ground well piping to the first flange below ground and cover; replace all above ground well piping including pipe supports, discharge head, three (3) 12-inch butterfly valves, one (1) 12-inch silent globe check valve, flow meter, air release valve assembly, pressure gauge and sample tap, high pressure cut-off switch, heated oiler including bucket, and two (2) chemical injection points from the ground to the quill; install 1-inch PVC down hole for water level measurement and/or chemical injection; blast and coat above ground well piping; replace site lighting with LED and a new photocell; remove and reinstall building over well; replace light pole and exterior lighting; PLC/SCADA modifications provided by Prime Controls; and all items needed for a completely functioning water well. |
