Description | For: HOPPER FIELD IMPROVEMENTS WALDWICK SCHOOL DISTRICT BERGEN COUNTY, NEW JERSEY The renovation of the athletic facilities at Hopper Field at Hopper Avenue and Wyckoff Avenue in Waldwick. Improvements include preparation for replacing the natural grass softball and soccer fields with a multi-use synthetic turf sports complex. Also included will be significant drainage improvements, the installation of a pre-fabricated restroom, installation of sports field lighting, retaining wall construction, installation of new water and electric services, and the installation of various sports amenities. Principal items of work in the project include: . 3,000 C.Y. Excavation, Unclassified 107,000 S.F. Synthetic Turf Field Preparation . 2,800 C.Y. 3/4" Clean Stone . 1,300 S.Y. Hot Mix Asphalt Sidewalk, 6" Thick . 80 S.Y. Concrete Sidewalk, 4" Thick . 1,285 L.F. Chain-Link Fence, PVC-Coated Steel, 6' High . 100 L.F. Protective Netting, 30' High . L.S. Pre-Fabricated Restroom . L.S. Sports Field Lighting The work contemplated under this Contract shall be completed by April 15, 2023. In order to be able to submit a bid on the project, the bidder shall be required to be classified by the New Jersey Division of Property Management and Construction ("DPMC") in the following category: C060 Athletic Fields/Tracks/Courts Further, in the event the bidder is not classified by the DPMC as either C047 Electrical and/or C030 Plumbing, the bidder shall be required to subcontract with subcontractors who are classified as C047 Electrical and/or C030 Plumbing, such subcontractors shall be named in the bid, and all documentation required to be provided for such subcontractors by the specifications and by law should be provided with the bid, but in no event beyond the time permitted by law. Each bid must be made upon the prescribed forms furnished with the contract documents, including the non-collusion affidavit and ownership statement compliance form and must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety and a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the amount bid, not to exceed $20,000.00. N.J.S.A. 40A:11-21. Such checks and Bonds shall be made payable to the Owner and will be held as a Guarantee that in the event the Bid is accepted and a Contract awarded to the bidder, the Contract shall be duly executed and its performance properly secured. The successful bidder shall furnish and deliver to the Owner a performance and payment bond in the amount of 100 percent of the accepted bid amount as security for the faithful performance and payment of the Contract. Further, the successful bidder must furnish the policies or Certificates of Insurance required by the Contract. In default thereof, said checks and the amount represented thereby will be forfeited to the aforesaid Owner as liquidated damages. Bids must be accompanied, in the case of corporations not chartered in New Jersey, by proper certificate that such corporation is authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq. All corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies must comply with N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2, regarding disclosure of partners and stockholders. Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder, addressed to the Owner and labeled for the HOPPER FIELD IMPROVEMENTS. The successful bidder will be required to comply with all provisions of prevailing wage rates as determined by the New Jersey Department of Labor. All bids shall be irrevocable, not subject to withdrawal and shall stand available for a period of sixty (60) days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to accept the bid from the lowest responsible bidder. |
