Description | The Town of Willsboro ("Town") is soliciting Proposals from qualified playground/outdoor fitness equipment manufacturers, vendors, or contractors ("Vendors") to design, procure, and install a multi-station playground and equipment suitable for children ages 3-11, and a multi- station adult fitness course at the Town of Willsboro Hathaway Park on NYS Route 22 in the Town of Willsboro. The Town reserves the right to except any and all proposal(s), reject any and all proposals not considered to be in the best interest of the Town, and to waive any technical or formal defect in the proposals which is considered by the Town to be merely irregular, immaterial, or unsubstantial. Nothing in this RFP shall be constructed to create any legal obligation on the part of the Town or any respondents. The Town reserved the right, in its sole discretion, to amend, suspend, terminate, or reissue this RFP in whole or in part, at any stage. In no event shall the Town be liable to respondents for any cost or damages incurred in connection with the RFP process, including but not limited to any, and all costs of preparing a response to this RFP or any other costs incurred in reliance on this RFP. No respondent shall be entitled to repayment from the Town for any costs, expenses or fees related to this RFP. All supporting documentation submitted in response to this RFP will become the property of the Town. Respondents may also withdraw their interest in the RFP, in writing, at any point in time as more information becomes known. Interested firms and all representatives thereof are prohibited from contacting any elected officials, other than the Town Supervisor, until after a final selection has been made by the Town. The Town will be exempt for any liability for costs incurred by unsuccessful Vendors in preparation of proposals Selected Vendor will be responsible for the design, procurement and installation of play equipment and track/fitness stations at Hathaway Park. Where appropriate the Town may provide in kind site preparation work such as excavation, grading, material trucking, and/or material sourcing. Vendors may consult the Town Supervisor on this for questions prior to package submission. Playground system design shall safely fit in the designated playground area shown in included site plan area. Vendors are encouraged to be creative in their designs and to maximize the role of unstructured play in their proposals. Vendors may submit proposals from non-traditional type playground structures, if desired, in whole or as components of the overall playground design. Adult fitness trail design shall likewise be designed to fit within the designated area outlined in the site plan. Trail shall be built to allow it to be used in all weather conditions. Vendors likewise are encouraged to be creative in design of their proposals and to maximize the concept of total body exercise for the trail. The fitness trail should be appropriate for able-bodied adults to safely use and meet the safety and structural requirements in compliance with industry standards. In the proposal, provide a high-level summary list of components proposed for the park playground and fitness trail. Include product vignettes/specification sheets that display: - structure and component model numbers; - product materials; - color choices and recommendations; - protective area requirements - target age ranges and developmental levels; - target activity; - estimated equipment lifetime for local climate conditions including manufacturer's warranty terms and conditions; - any other relevant descriptive information |
