Description

**As of November 3, 2022, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The work consists of the replacement of the media and leachate pipes in all four (4) cells of the Biofilter located at the Greater Lawrence Sanitary District's Wastewater Treatment Facility. It is anticipated that award of the contract will be made during the Board of Commissioners meeting on October 26, 2022. This Contract is subject to and in accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 30, Section 39M inclusive of Chapter 30 of the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as last revised. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted via email will be considered the prospective Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the email listed above Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of five percent of the value of the bid in the form described in the Instructions to Bidders, Section 00100. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid for a period of sixty days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays after the actual date of the opening of the General Bids. The Successful Bidder must furnish a 100 percent Payment Bond with a surety company acceptable to the Owner. Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Workforce Development under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27D, as amended, apply to this project. It is the responsibility of the contractor, before bid opening, to request if necessary, any additional information on Minimum Wage Rates for those trades people who may be employed for the proposed work under this contract. The time for Final Completion of the contract is 180 calendar days. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Bids if deemed to be in its best interest.
