Description | The project involves the removal of existing roofing and replacement of membrane roof with a thermos membrane roof system as specified in the technical specifications. The total square footage is approximately 7,180 Square Feet,and replacement in-kind of the existing Mansard roof. See the plans and construction documents for further details. Bidder qualification requirements and labor provisions are set forth in the Information for Bidders. Contract for work under this bid obligates the contractor and subcontractors not to discriminate in employment practices. If any person contemplating submitting a bid for the proposed contract is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the specifications or other sections of the contract documents, or finds discrepancies in or omissions from the specifications, the issue may be submitted to John Strong at Clark I Azar & Associates, Inc 20440 Century Boulevard, Suite 220, Germantown, Maryland 20874, (301) 528-2010, a written request for an interpretation or correction thereof. The person submitting the request will be responsible for its prompt delivery. Questions received after January 10, 2023, 4:00pm, will not be answered. Any interpretation or correction of the proposed documents will be made only by an addendum duly issued, and a copy of such addendum will be sent, by certified mail, to each person having a set of such documents in their possession. The owner will not be responsible for any other explanations or interpretations of the contract documents. A bid bond, certified check, or bank treasurer's check in the amount of five percent of the initial contract price must accompany the bid form, or the same will not be considered. The successful bidder shall furnish Performance and Payment Bonds and a letter of intent to issue a Maintenance Bond to the owner in penal sums equal to 100 percent of the amount of the bid. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to disregard any or all non-conforming or conditional bids or counter bids. |
