Description | Plans and specifications are for viewing purposes only. Official sets must be obtained from McKee and Associates The proposed project will include building construction, electrical systems, mechanical systems, utilities connections and parking lot construction. A certified check or Bid Bond payable to City of Union Springs in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000.00 must accompany the bidder's sealed proposal. Performance and statutory labor and material payment bonds will be required at the signing of the Contract. All bidders bidding in amounts exceeding that established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must show evidence of license before bidding or bid will not be received or considered by the City or its Architect. All bidders shall show such evidence by clearly displaying their current license number on the outside of sealed envelope in which the proposal is delivered. The Contractor is advised that the contract time for this project is 365 calendar days in time and is being administered thru the City of Union Springs. A certificate of compliance with the Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act, Act 2011-535, as amended by ACT 2012-491, is required by all contractors. All bidders are required to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov). The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. Each bidder must deposit, with its bid, security in the amount of, form of and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract, Section 3, Segregated Facility, Section 109 and E.O. 11246. No bidder may withdraw its bid within ninety (90) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The project will consist of comprehensive improvements to construct a 5,775 square foot Community Center along with utilities connection, grading and paving for the site along March Street in Union Springs, AL. |
