Description

The Shirley Water District (Owner) is requesting ads for the construction of the following Project: Hatch Tank and Heyliger Tank Rehabilitation The Project includes the following Work: For two steel elevated water storage tanks, work consists of abrasive blasting and application of new coating system of the Interior and exterior bowls, power tool cleaning and over-coating the exterior fluted pedestals, and power tool cleaning and spot coating of the dry Interior pedestals A pre-bid conference is not required. For all further requirements regarding funding agency notifications, funding agency requirements bid submittal, qualifications, procedures. and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that we included in the Bidding Documents The bidding and award of this Contract will be under the provisions of M.G.L Chapter 30. Section 39M. Complete instructions for filing Ms are included in the Instructions to Bidders. Bich General Bid and Sibbid shall be submitted In accordance with the instruct ions to Bidders and Stall be accompanied by a Bid Security In the amount of 5 percent of the Bid. No Bidder may withdraw their Bid for a period of thirty (30) days. excluding Saturdays Sundays, and legal holidays alter the actual date of the opening of the General Bids. This advertisement does not obligate the Owner for any costs assodat ed with preparing or submitting bids. The successful General Bidder must furnish a 100 percent Performance Bond and a 100 percent Payment Bond with a surety company acceptable to the Owner. Minimum wage rates as determined by the Executive Ctfice of Labor and Workforce Development, Department of Labor Bandards (Dia under the provisions of m.G.L., Chapter t49, Section 26 to 2713, as amended, apply to this project. It is t he responsibility of the contractor, before bid opening, to request if necessary, any additional information on Prevailing Wage Ftstes for those tradespeople who may be employed for the proposed work under this contract. The Owner reserves the right to waive any iMormality in or to reject any or all Bids if deemed to be in its best interest.
