Description

The City of Topeka is soliciting bids for purchasing Beet 55 liquid organic additive or an approved equal product, blended with salt brine (80% salt brine 20% Beet 55) to be used for treating roadways. The awarded vendor will enter into a one (1) year agreement with the City with the option to renew for four (4) additional one (1) year periods by written agreement of both parties. The bid award shall be made to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder. The City will initially order approximately 5,000 gallons of product from the awarded Contractor at the time of bid award. Additional product ordered will be dependent upon the actual winter season and City need. For reference, the City expects to consume approximately 2,000 gallons of product in a minor winter season; approximately 5,000 gallons in an average winter season; and approximately 15,000 gallons in a severe winter season Bid Bond Required: No Bidders must enumerate any and all exceptions to these specifications by uploading and attaching them to their bid response. Failure to do so may result in the rejection of any bid. Any alternate or equivalent bid shall include literature, specifications, and a detailed description of every aspect of the alternate of equivalent product being bid.
