Description | That this contract proposal is executed and signed by said bidder with full knowledge and acceptance of the provisions of the General terms & Conditions, Bid Specifications and Bid Proposal which are made a part of the contract. That should any part of this proposal be accepted in writing by the Purchasing Agent within sixty (60) calendar days from the date of bid opening, said bidder will furnish and deliver the commodities and/or services for which this proposal is made, in the quantities and at the prices bid, and in compliance with the Specifications. Proposals received later than the time and date specified for the bid opening will not be considered. Amendments to or withdrawal of proposals received later than the time and date set for the opening will not be considered. In order to be considered, exceptions to the bid must be made on the exceptions page or a clearly marked attachment. Bidders or their representatives may be present at the bid opening. Bids are opened at the Wallingford Town Hall in room 205 immediately after the date and time stated in the bid. The Purchasing Agent reserves the right to amend and/or cancel the bid invitation prior to the time and date of the bid opening. The Purchasing Agent reserves the right to correct an award erroneously made as a result of a clerical error on the part of the Town of Wallingford. The Town of Wallingford is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer. Small, Minority, Women and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond The Contractor will mobilize to the selected locations for each assignment. Assignments will be made by DPW to facilitate the Contractors efforts to relocate to each location to the extent possible. However, the Contractor is solely responsible for all costs associated with mobilization, remobilization and relocation of forces and equipment. The DPW anticipates pavement milling of the following roadways during the 2023-2024 construction season however roads may be added or deleted as needed. South Main Street - 4,075 square yards Blakeslee Road - 8,950 square yards Sunset Drive - 3,820 square yards Wildlife Drive - 12,490 square yards Research Parkway - 14,360 square yards. Questions concerning the work requirements of this bid should be submitted through electronically. Bidders must pass a Motor Carrier Safety Fitness Review as conducted by the Department of Motor Vehicles, Commercial Vehicle Safety Division (CVSD) for this award. Failure to pass the Motor Carrier Safety Fitness Review may be cause for rejection of your bid. In addition, each motor vehicle must be in full compliance with all provisions of the Connecticut General Statutes and regulations as well as all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations pertaining to the mechanical conditions, equipment, marking and operation of motor vehicles of such type class and weight. If this project is subject to the State set-aside program, it is the contractor's responsibility to contact CHRO and to comply with all statutory requirements.
