Description | The Districts are soliciting bids for a contractor to provide all labor, materials, and equipment to remove old chain link fence and replace it with tubular steel fencing. At the time of the bid, the contractor must possess a valid California Contractor's License in the following classification: C-13 All bids shall be accompanied by a bidder's surety equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount bid in the form of a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond from an admitted surety, made payable to "County Sanitation District No. 2 of Los Angeles County." The successful bidder shall be required to provide good and sufficient bonds for the faithful performance of the work and for payment of laborers and materialmen as required in the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction, 2015 Edition, and the Districts' Amendments dated, 2018. Bonds shall be delivered to the Purchasing Office of the County Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County within fifteen (15) days of award of purchase order. Pursuant to applicable provisions of the Labor Code of the State of California, not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages for legal holiday and overtime work for each craft or type of workman needed to execute the work contemplated under this agreement, as ascertained by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations, be paid to all workers employed on the work by the Contractor or by any subcontractor doing or contracting to do any part of the work. |
