Infield Clay

The Town of Greenwich Purchasing Department, on behalf of the Parks and Trees Division of the Department of Parks and Recreation, is seeking bids for Infield Clay to be used on ball fields throughout Greenwich, CT. The intention of this Request for Bid (RFB) is to establish a Commodity Award with one (1) Vendor who will, upon request, provide the Town with Infield Clay, as described in the RFB. The Commodity Award will have an initial term of one (1) year, from may 1, 2023, through april 30, 2024. In addition, two (2) optional years may be engaged through the mutual consent of both parties on an annual basis. The Town is planning to purchase approximately 300 tons of Infield Clay during the term of this Commodity Award. The Town orders approximately twenty (20) tons at a time. The Town may purchase more or less, depending on the actual need. There is no guarantee as to the amount of Infield Clay the Town may purchase. The awarded Vendor shall deliver the ordered product to the Town within five (5) days of receiving the Town's order. The Town of Greenwich reserves the right to weigh the awarded Vendor's delivery truck before and after each delivery to ensure receipt of accurate tonnage.
