Description

The Hamilton Pool Road Alternative Access Study is a transportation planning study that incorporates traffic volume forecasting; concept development; traffic engineering that incorporates reassignment of traffic movements; and feasibility analysis of a two-lane, local collector roadway potentially connecting Hamilton Pool Road (HPR) to Bee Cave Road and/or various points in between. The objective of the study is to analyze various scenarios detailed below, prepare, and evaluate the effectiveness of intersection design options, provide opinions of probable costs, and provide recommendations. feasibility study of this new transportation corridor, including 1) analysis of the traffic movements that are projected to result from construction of various combinations of the above segments at two points in time and 2) schematic designs and preliminary cost estimates for certain segments, as noted within the description of the scenarios.
