Description

Acorn Well Pump Station Improvements consists of but is not limited to all labor, materials, equipment, appurtenances, and incidentals as required to properly install, complete and be accepted in place a new concrete masonry unit (CMU) building to contain an electrical room, chlorine room, and liquid ammonium sulfate (LAS) room. The existing site includes a water well and above-ground 300,000-gallon storage tank originally constructed in 1985, pumping facilities, electrical equipment, chemical equipment, and hydropneumatic pressure tank. A subsequent improvement project was constructed in 1999 that included upgrades to the pumping and site piping along with a new pressure tank and improvements to the chemical injection system. This proposed project will leave the existing well, ground storage tanks, pumping system, and pressure tank in-place and consolidate all electrical and chemical equipment into a single building with all necessary components as shown on the project drawings and as specified herein. Project will be awarded to proposal providing best value to Owner based on a number of factors including cost, experience of contract, and prior work performance.
