West Babylon Public Library - MC-1 HVAC RTU Installation Contract

The West Babylon Public Library in West Babylon, New York will receive sealed bids for the HVAC Upgrades Project at the West Babylon Public Library, West Babylon, New York, as follows: Contract No: MC-1 HVAC RTU Installation The bid deposit must be received prior to the bid set being transmitted to the prospective bidder via email. Each bidder must include the following information with the bid deposit before the bid sets will be transmitted: Company Name, Company Address, Company Phone number and Fax number, the Contact Person and Contract they wish to Bid. Persons and corporations obtaining sets of drawings and specifications, but not submitting a legitimate proposal, shall forfeit their deposit. Bid Security in the form of a Certified Check or Money Order, payable to the order of the West Babylon Public Library, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid, shall be submitted with each Bid, as assurance that the bid is made in good faith, and insuring if the proposal is accepted. The Surety issuing the Bid Bond shall have a minimum policyholder rating of "A+" as listed in AM Best's Insurance Guide and be licensed to conduct business in the State of New York. All bid bond deposits, except that of the successful bidder will be returned Each bid must also be accompanied by a Letter of Intent from a surety company acceptable to the Owner, which letter shall assure the Owner that the Bidder, if awarded the contract, will be able to secure from the surety the required bonds in the required amounts. All questions and requests for clarifications must be submitted in writing, (via email), no later than 4:00 P.M., Monday, January 30, 2023 to: Program Manager: The Facilities Management Group Email: info@thefmgrp.com The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Payment and Performance Bonds covering 100% of the work within (10) days from the date of the acceptance of the proposal. The Surety providing bid security and performance and payment bonds shall have a minimum policyholder rating of "A+" as listed in AM Best's Insurance Guide and be licensed to conduct business in the State of New York. Each contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder or the proposals will be rejected within forty-five (45) days of the date of opening proposals subject, however, to the right reserved by the Board of Trustees, West Babylon Public Library, to waive any informalities in, reject any or all proposals, accept any bid in whole or in part, or to advertise for new proposals, if, in the opinion of this Board of Trustees, the best interests of the Library will thereby be promoted. This invitation is an offer to receive proposals for a contract and not an offer of a contract. All bids shall include the certificate as to non-collusion by Section 103-D of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York. The contract will contain a provision that every laborer and workman employed on or about the work contemplated by the contract shall be paid not less than the prevailing rate of wages which are set forth in the contract documents. The West Babylon Public Library reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities and informalities in bidding.
