A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Multi Site MAR Tower Fire Suppression, Alaska Radar System (ARS), Various Locations, Alaska (AKV366) W911KB22R0028 THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. The US Army Engineer District, Alaska is conducting market research to facilitate a determination of acquisition strategy. The determination of acquisition strategy for this acquisition lies solely with the government and will be based on this market research and information available to the government from other sources. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Alaska District, is conducting this market research to identify businesses which have the capability to perform the following work: Interested firms must be able to provide all management, tools, supplies, parts, materials, equipment, transportation, and trained labor necessary provide fire suppression to electrical equipment located in the Minimally Attended Radar (MAR) towers in multiple locations throughout Alaska. The project scope includes a new NFPA 2001 Clean Agent type fire suppression system as well as minor Architectural, mechanical, electrical modifications required to coordinate and communicate between the new fire suppression system and the existing building HVAC and communication systems. Protection of the Radome/Array is outside the scope of this project. The area to be protected varies based on the configuration of the radar at each site. There are two primary configurations, stand-alone MAR Towers, and 'Train' sites. The MAR locations are Barter Island, Cape Lisburne, Cape Newenham, Cape Romanzof, Cold Bay, Fort Yukon, Indian Mountain, Kotzebue, Murphy Dome, Tin City, King Salmon, Tatalina, Sparrevohn, Barrow, and Oliktok. Alaska and is routinely subject to high winds (excess of 80 mph). The estimated dollar magnitude of this project is anticipated between $15,000,000 and $25,000,000. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE AND NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL.
