Description | For Water Main Improvements The Project includes replacing approximately 19,450 LF of 4", 6" and 8" water mains along with associated valves, service connections, fire hydrants, and other miscellaneous and associated work. Notice is hereby given that at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, March 6, 2023, at the City of Arcadia City Hall, Arcadia, Iowa, the City Council of the City of Arcadia will consider the construction bids received and will either award a contract, reject all bids, or adjourn thereon to a subsequent meeting of the City Council. USDA RD (Agency) has to concur in the award before the Owner can issue the Notice of Award for the project. Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Council of the City of Arcadia on the proposed contract documents (plans, specifications, and form of contract) and estimated cost for the project at its meeting at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, March 6, 2023, in said City of Arcadia City Hall for the Water Main Improvement project. Said Council will also receive and consider any comments/objections to said plans, specifications and form of contract or to the estimated cost ofsaid improvements made by any interested party. A pre-bid conference will not be conducted for this project. The Project has an expected duration of 459 calendar days for substantial completion of August 2, 2024 and 515 calendar days for final completion of September 27, 2024. Notice to Proceed is anticipated April 17, 2023. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and irregularities in the form of the bid, and to enter into such contract, or contracts, as it shall deem to be in the best interest of the Owner. The bid security shall be made payable to Owner in an amount of five (5) percent of Bidder's maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base bid and all alternates) and shall be in the form of a cashier's check or certified check drawn on a state-chartered or federally chartered bank, or a certified share draft drawn on a state-chartered or federally chartered credit union, or a Bid bond (on the form included in the Bidding Documents) issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraphs 6.01 of the General Conditions |
