Description | Bid Specifications Are Available on the Towns Web Site at the Lincolnville Town Office, 493 Hope Road, Lincolnville, Maine or by Calling (207) 763-3555. No pre-bid conference will be held. Questions concerning the project should be directed to David Roundy, Public Facilities Director, pfd@town.lincolnville.me.us telephone (207)763-3555, at the Lincolnville Town Office, 493 Hope Road, Lincolnville, ME 04849 SCOPE OF WORK 1. The Breezemere Park Bandstand is an octagon in shape with an approximate "diameter" of 40 feet. The bandstand was constructed in in 2001 and the wooden shingles were part of the original construction 2. The contractor is to remove and dispose of properly the existing roofing materials (wood shingles, nails, underlayment, etc.) from the roof of the Breezemere Park Bandstand. 3. The contractor is to protect the bandstand from water damage during the entire roofing process. 4. Contractor shall install one layer of 15# asphalt saturated felt over entire roof, lapping each course over the lower course a minimum of 2 inches at horizontal joints and 4 inches at end joints. Use only enough nails to hold underlayment in place until shingles are laid. Prior to placing underlayment contractor shall clean deck surfaces of debris. 5. All flashing to be replaced in kind by contractor. 6. Cedar shingles shall be 18" #1 Perfection Red Cedar. Fasteners shall be 1-1/2" stainless steel ring shank siding/roofing nails. If nail fails to penetrate solid decking, use additional nail in adjacent unexposed area. Exposure and pattern to match existing. Shingled hip caps to match current construction. 7. Contractor shall take care to not damage existing structure including weathervane. 8. Contractor can park vehicles in the "overflow" parking lot on the opposite side of the road from the park. The contractor is not to allow vehicles on the grass areas of the park. 9. Prior to submitting invoice for payment Contractor shall clean the work area of debris |
