Engineering Design, Construction Management, Project Coordination and Other General Assistance for the Houston Ship Channel Project and Beneficial Use Sites

1. Perform project design functions including preparation of plans and specifications (or review/comment of USACE plans and specifications) for upland dredge placement construction, Houston Ship Channel dredging, beneficial use site construction, and marsh construction. 2. Provide technical expertise for design, dredging, beneficial use site construction, upland placement area construction and marsh creation during Project Coordination Team (PCT) meetings with the USACE. 3. Perform construction management, including construction inspections (which may require boat transportation), report assembling, communication with PHA project manager, schedule analysis, claim analysis, and general project delivery tasks. 4. Coordinate geotechnical services at various upland dredge placement areas or marsh sites as necessary for plans and specifications preparation or dredge material settlement predictions. 5. Provide geotechnical services for dredge material settling predictions using approved modeling methods (e.g. USACE PSDDF model). 6. Provide surveying services of upland dredge placement areas (levees and site interiors) and hydrographic surveying services for both deep water and shallow water areas (e.g. marsh environments). 7. Provide various services as may be required to monitor, manage, or maintain the marsh features of the HSC project. 8. Provide boat access for PHA personnel to bay islands and placement areas.
