| Description | The plan includes excavating out the front side of the riser to expose the joint and repacking a mortar with a bonding agent into the void between the riser and baseflow pipe. Excavation must be in compliance with OSHA requirements. Geotextile will be placed around the repair area before backfilling to provide additional protection against loss of soil through the joint, and the area will be seeded and mulched. The mortar and geotextile need to be preapproved by Iowa County LCD or NRCS prior to start of construction. |
