Description

The work under this contract shall be performed in accordance with the contract documents which may be examined and obtained at the office of Secaucus Municipal Utilities Authority (SMUA), 1100 Koelle Boulevard, Secaucus, New Jersey 07094 between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, excepting legal holidays. All bids shall be made on the forms provided, and shall be submitted in a sealed envelope, addressed to the SECAUCUS MUNICIPAL UTILITIES AUTHORITY and marked: Contract: FURNISHING AND DELIVERING SODIUM HPYPCHLORITE The work under this contract shall be bid on a one (1) year contract, within the period January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2023, as well as a two (2) year contract, within the period January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2024, as given in the proposal pages; the Authority will award either the one (1) year contract or the two (2) year contract based on the prices received, and which the Authority deems to be in its best interest. The SMUA reserves the right to reject any and all bids, as per N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2. All bids must be made upon the form of proposal furnished with these specifications and shall state the price in words and in figures of each item of the proposed work as shown in the specifications and contemplated in the contract. The bidder must sign the bid and state herein his business address and place of residence. All bidders will be required to comply with Chapter 127 of the Public Laws of 1975, and the Public Laws of 1977, Chapter 33, listing all stockholders and partners who own ten percent (10%) or more stock or interest therein, or all individual partnerships who own a ten percent (10%) or greater interest therein. A certified check drawn on a National or State Bank or Trust company, made payable to the SECAUCUS MUNICIPAL UTITLITIES AUTHORITY, or a bid bond shall accompany the bid. Said bid bond to be a guarantee that if the proposal is accepted a contract will be entered into and the performance of it properly secured as required. The certified check or bid bond shall be in the amount of 10% of the total bid not to exceed $20,000.00. The Secaucus Municipal Utilities Authority reserves the right to reject any of all bids, and to waive any informality therein, if, in its judgment, the interests of the Secaucus Municipal Utilities Authority will be served thereby.
