Work Classification 3A or 5, and in the proper dollar amount with N.J.D.O.T. The prequalification shall be valid at the time bids are opened. Bids must be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of a bid bond, cashiers check, or certified check for ten percent of the total lump sum bid amount, but not in excess of $20,000.00 in accordance with N.J.A.C. 16:44-7.3 (e) and must be delivered to the Division of Purchase on or before the hour specified. Certified checks or cashiers checks are to be drawn to the order of The Treasurer of Burlington County. The Consent of Surety must be on the form provided in the Bid Documents and submitted with the bid. Pursuant to Section 2 of P.L. 1971, c.198 (C.40A:11-2), The successful bidder shall furnish and deliver a performance bond in the full amount of the total contract price within ten (10) days of the date of contract award in accordance with N.J.S.A. 2A:44-147. The performance bond must be issued to The Board of County Commissioners of the County of Burlington by a surety company authorized to transact business in New Jersey. Prime Subcontractors; In accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-16 of the Local Public Contracts Law, Bidders shall clearly list the name, address, and phone number of the subcontractors with whom the Bidder will subcontract work to any of the listed trades required for the project. Current licenses of the named subcontractors must be submitted with the bid simultaneously with the list of subcontractors. PREVAILING WAGE RATES; When applicable, the contractor shall pay the latest prevailing wage rates for projects in excess of $2,000.00 as determined by the Commissioner of Labor and Industry of the State of New Jersey, for the locality in which the work is to be performed pursuant to Chapter 150, Laws of 1963 (N.J.S.A. 34:11-56, 25 et seq.). The Contractor shall comply with all applicable statutes and regulations regarding the payment of wages and specifically Title 34, Chapter 11, of the Revised Statutes of New Jersey. AFFIRMATIVE ACTION; Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C.17:27. In order to maintain a current list of potential bidders and to receive information regarding upcoming solicitations, new bidders must complete the registration form provided electronically. A Note to Vendors Regarding the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Burlington Covid-19 Policy Bid/proposal openings will remain publicly open. All bid/proposal opening attendees, and anyone else delivering a bid/proposal, are required to observe Burlington Countys face mask/covering and social distancing policies. Face masks/covers must cover the nose and mouth. Face mask/covers must be worn at all times when in a Burlington County facility. If a bid/proposal opening occurs outdoors, face masks/coverings are not required if appropriate social distancing can be maintained. If appropriate social distancing cannot be maintained, face masks/coverings must be worn outdoors while attending a Burlington County public bid/proposal opening. The determination of appropriate social distancing is at the County of Burlingtons discretion. The County of Burlington is not responsible for misdirected or late deliveries due to any individual being turned away for not wearing a face mask/covering when attempting deliver a bid/proposal or attend a bid/proposal opening. Late bid submissions will not be accepted or considered. The County assumes no responsibility for bids mailed or misdirected in delivery. All Bids must be made on a standard bid forms in the manner designated therein and required by the specifications; must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder and solicitation identification number and name of Project on outside of envelope; and mailed to the County of Burlington, Department of Finance and Purchasing, County Office Building, P.O. Box 6000, 49 Rancocas Road, Mount Holly, New Jersey 08060. The Division of Purchases office is open to the public for walk-in bid submissions Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM (local time), County holidays excluded. Any bid not in the possession of the Division of Purchase by the specified prevailing time of bid opening will not be accepted and will be returned. All solicitations are subject to change. It is the responsibility of the vendor to check the website for any future addenda, revisions, etc. prior to the opening date. Failure to do so could result in rejection of your bid submission.
