Description | This is a safety improvements project on Amelia Avenue between Voorhis Avenue and Ohio Avenue (approximately 3,000 feet) in DeLand, FL. The project consists of converting Amelia Avenue from a four-lane undivided section to a three-lane section with two travel lanes, a two-way continuous left turn lane, 8-foot-wide sidewalks, and access management improvements. The project will also include safety improvements, a traffic signal modification at the intersection with SR-44, a mini roundabout at the intersection with Ohio Ave., access management improvements, stakeholder coordination, resurfacing, signage, and pavement markings. Amelia Avenue is located approximately 2 blocks East of SR-17/92 near downtown DeLand, Florida. The project consists of two segments: (1) from Voorhis Ave. to SR-44 which is owned and maintained by the COUNTY of DeLand and (2) from SR-44 to Ohio Ave. which is owned and maintained by Volusia County. DEADLINE FOR QUESTIONS: August 10, 2023 The posting of answers through the County's eProcurement Portal is the only official method by which interpretation, clarification, or additional information can be given. Payroll costs shall include, but not be limited to, salaries and wages plus the cost of fringe benefits which shall include social security contributions, unemployment, excise and payroll taxes, workmen’s compensation, health and retirement benefits, bonuses, sick leave, vacation, and holiday pay applicable thereto. All licenses and permits required to perform Bidder’s duties under this Bid Contract whether such license or permit is required by the federal government, State of Florida, Volusia County, or any municipality, shall be at Bidder’s sole cost and expense, and shall not be a cost of the County. The County reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, or any part of any Bid, to waive any informality in any Bid, or to re-advertise for all or part of the work. contemplated.
