Description: The Village of Northbrook is seeking proposals from qualified contractors for the installation of a new fiberglass door with a woodgrain look and arched door frame, incorporating a 1" insulated arched glass, simulated wood panels at the lower portion of the door and appropriate hardware at the Village of Northbrook Village Hall at 1225 Cedar Lane, Northbrook, Illinois. The scope of work includes the installation of a door with a continuous hinge, reuse of the existing ADA operator, creation of a new door frame, and replacement of the threshold. The door opening dimensions are approximately 74" by 100". 1. Removal of Existing Door and Frame: Carefully remove the existing door, frame, and threshold while minimizing any damage to the surrounding structure. 2. Installation of Fiberglass Door and Frame: Install a new fiberglass door with a woodgrain look and arched frame, featuring a 1" insulated arched glass and simulated wood panels at the lower portion, meeting the specified dimensions of approximately 74" by 100". Ensure proper alignment and level installation of the door within the new frame. 3. Continuous Hinge Installation: Install a continuous hinge to ensure smooth and durable door operation. 4. Hardware Installation: Install all necessary hardware components, including handles, locks, and any other specified items. 5. ADA Operator Reuse: Reuse the existing ADA operator for the newly installed door, ensuring it is integrated seamlessly and functions properly. 6. Threshold Replacement: Install a new threshold that complements the design of the new door and frame. 7. Finishing Touches: Ensure all components are properly aligned, adjusted, and functional.
