Description | Notice is hereby given that Public Utility District No. 1 of Kitsap County (KPUD) will receive sealed bid proposals for the South Bainbridge Well 10 Iron and Manganese Removal Project Bids are being asked for provision of all necessary labor, equipment, materials and appurtenances required to construct new iron and manganese removal treatment plant facilities onsite, including a 12 feet by 30 feet CMU building enclosure, iron and manganese ATEC filter package prepurchased by KPUD, piping, valves, instrumentation and appurtenances associated with but not furnished as part of the packaged treatment system, sodium hypochlorite feed system, potassium permanganate feed system, backwash recycle tank and associated pump, yard and process piping, instrumentation and appurtenances, associated sitework and landscaping, and other work as shown on the project plans and specifications. The project is located in the City of Bainbridge Island, WA. The new treatment system will be constructed within KPUD's easement on parcel 042402-1-054-2005, upon which a well, booster pump station, and an aboveground reservoir are located on Bainbridge Island in the NE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of Section 4, Township 24 North, Range 02 East at approximately Latitude 4736'23.5" N and Longitude 12232'40.09" W. The time for completion on this project is 120 working days. Point of contact is Bill Whiteley, P.E., at (360) 626-7747. Each Bid Proposal shall conform to the requirements of Section 1-02.9 of the Contract Special Provisions. Bids shall be made out on the bid form furnished with the specifications. A 5% bid guarantee is required in the form of certified or cashier's check, or surety bond in accordance with the contract specifications. Contractor must be licensed to conduct business in the State of Washington. The contract will be awarded to the qualified bidder submitting the lowest responsible bid. KPUD reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive all informalities in the bidding in accordance with the specifications. All work performed on this project will be subject to the higher of the prevailing state or federal wage rates. KPUD is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer. This project is partially funded through the Washington State Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) program with federal funds from the Environmental Protection Agency; general contractors and all subcontractors must meet DWSRF requirements and provisions.
