Description | The scope of work shall minimally include the labor, materials and equipment to refinish the exterior fire escapes at all locations on Building C and one (1) location at building B: a. Prep all painted surfaces for new paint coatings. b. Existing surfaces will require cleaning and removal of all scaling, chipping, peeling or crazing paint surfaces. c. Prep all surfaces to be clean, dry, and free of any loose or flaking paint or rust. Use Lead paint work safe practices when prepping existing painted surfaces. Provide protection on the ground to contain any paint chips or debris. Dispose of as required. d. Protect existing adjacent surfaces from damage. e. Do not apply any new coatings until the preparation work has been inspected by owner and judged to be ready for any new coatings. f. Contractor may be required to schedule a meeting with a painting manufacturer’s representative to determine the best coatings for the metal fire escape applications. g.
