Description

The City of Joliet, Illinois, does hereby invite sealed bids for 10,357 tons HMA surface course, 119,685 sq yd HMA surface removal, 9,256 ft combination curb and gutter, 11,362 sq ft sidewalk and various other appurtenances to complete the work.It is highly recommended that all bids be tabbed to mark the Bid Proposal Form and Bid Bond, An electronic copy of the entire sub-mission on a USB flash drive is also reque ste d to be included in the bid packet. Those in attendance must ad-here to the current City of Joliet City Hall COVID -19 policy. The City ofJoliet follows c urrentguidelines regarding CO VD -19. Bid results will also be posted on the City' s web site, and emails sent out to individuals who have subscribed to the related RSS feed. It is preferred that you mail y our bids/ proposals. They should be address as follows: CITY OF JOLIET -SEALED BID ENCLOSED OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK 150 W. JEFFERSON ST. JOLIET, IL 60432 If you do choose to hand de-liver your bid/proposal, they are to be hand delivered to the East or West side of City Hall, 150 W. Jefferson St., Joliet, IL 60432 and marked clearly on the outside of the SEALED package with the BID NUMBER AND NAME OF THE PROJECT, DATE AND TIME OF THE BID OPENING, NAME AND ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER OF YOUR COMPANY and RECEIPT OF ALL ADDENDA (if applicable). All other doors will be locked. Please make sure to mention you are delivering a sealed bid/pro-posal, so the receiver knows to time stamp the envelope upon receipt. If dropping off a bid in person, bids must be dropped off duringbusiness hours only between 8:00 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. Those desiring to bid may ex-amine the bid documents and detailed specifications in the City of Joliet Purchasing Division, 150 W. Jefferson St., IL 60432 between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:30 P.M All bidders will be required to submit Bid Security in the form of a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or a Bid Bond in the amount of Ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid, payable to the City of Joliet. The successful bidder will be required to post performance se-curity and to provide a Certificate of Insurance as set forth in the Invitation of Bid and the General Terms & Conditions. Bidders are required to be pre-qualified through the Illinois De-partment of Transportation or the Illinois Capital Development Board. It is the responsibility of the bidder to ensure that their pre-qualification information is pro-vided to the City of Joliet Purchasing Division prior to the bid opening. The City of Joliet re-serves the right to reject any and all bids, parts of any and all bids, or to waive technical errors or omissions in bids. The Contract shall be subject to the provisions of the Prevail-ing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1 et seq.) to the extent required by law and the City of Joliet Procure-ment Code (Section 2-430 -- 2-453 of the Code of Ordinances.
