Description

The Project consists of constructing dry media chlorine gas scrubber, electrical, ductwork, site work, eye wash and associated work. Successful Bidder must submit documentation of completion of similar work The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Stantec Consulting Services Inc., 1110 Market Street, Suite 214A, Chattanooga, Tennessee. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office by appointment on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m Upon Issuing Office's receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent via the prospective Bidder's delivery method of choice. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bids shall only be accepted from Bidders on the official list of plan holders kept by the Issuing Office. The value for liquidated damages shall be $500.00 for each day that expires after such time until the Work is completed and ready for final payment. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of five (5) percent of Bidders maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base bid and all alternates) and in the form of a certified check, bank money order, or a Bid bond Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with Article 10 of the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders shall furnish proof of qualifications to perform the Work as described in Article 5 of the Instructions to Bidders. Time of commencement of the Work and Contract Times for completion shall be in accordance with Article 4 of the Agreement. The Owner may consider delayed construction start date to allow time for major equipment submittal, review, procurement, and delivery. All Bidders must be licensed contractors in compliance with the requirements of the State of Tennessee Contractors Licensing Act. Bids will only be accepted from Bidders recorded on the Engineer's list of purchasers of the Contract Documents, Drawings and Specifications. Bid must comply with Tennessee Code Annotated (TCA) 62-6-119. In accordance with the law, Bidder must provide evidence of compliance with the applicable provisions of this chapter before such bid may be considered. The Owner reserves the right to waive formalities and to reject any and all Bids.
