Description | The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, materials, and equipment to Replace Panic Hardware, doors, and frames in Building 1 at the VANIHCS-Ft Wayne campus per design drawings provided by Viridian, but not limited to the following: Replacement of old doors, closures, frames, and locksets per design drawings provided by Viridian. All debris (construction & hazardous) weights must be reported to VA Contracting Officer Representative (COR). VA has option to retain some or all removed doors, closures, and locksets for attic stock. Coordinate with VA COR. Remove caulk and paint from door frames as applicable. Scraping and sanding must occur within a moveable containment barrier. Plastic taped to ceiling and zipper doors are not acceptable for containment. Removal of ACM & lead as required. Paint and seal door frames. Paint will be Sherwin Williams low odor and color will be specified by VA COR when project is awarded. Doors and frames may need to be modified to fit. Doors are to be birch, plain sliced, cocoa bean in color. Doors are to be modified by a licensed technician as to retain UL fire rating. Installation of new doors, closures, and locksets per design drawings provided by Viridian are to match existing equipment in use at VANIHCS-Ft Wayne. No continuous hinges. Closures to be LCN 4040XP. Panic hardware to be Dorma F9500B, satin chrome in color. Door hardware to be lever handle, satin chrome in color, 7-pin cylinder core. Temporary ICRA partition walls are to be used along with HEPA negative air machines. See drawing GI003 for details. Plastic taped from ceiling or zip walls is not acceptable. All walls, floors, and ceiling will be repaired if damaged during demolition and construction and returned to pre-construction conditions with matching colors and finishes. Approximately 180 calendar days. This project will be procured as 100% set aside for Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) used for this requirement is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. with a standard size of $45M. The of this construction project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Contract awardee shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, training, materials, supplies, and incidentals necessary to accomplish the work in accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications & drawings provided. The VA will issue an IFB on or about 6 October 2023 via www.sam.gov . A will be scheduled prior to the closing of solicitation, and the date, time and will be posted in the solicitation.
