North Plano Road at Duck Creek - Northbound (East) Bridge Rail Improvements

Rehabilitation work includes the removal and replacement of the failed stone wall (south side) with a transition rail (Txdot Type C221) and a new concrete foundation (Txdot TRF). Removal of the existing bridge metal rail and extending the concrete headwall 14 inches vertically and installing HSS metal railing. Partial demolition of existing wingwall and replacement of concrete wingwall (the top 14 inches only) with dovetail slots. The project includes installing 2” thick Milsap Sandstone Fascia full width (face), side and top (cap) of bridge rail headwall, wingwalls, and transition wall. Removal and replacement of 90 square yards of concrete sidewalk pavement (on the south side of the bridge) and installing new sidewalk on the north end of the bridge to the adjacent bus stop.
