Description | Project Description: Project consists of: 1. Scope: The Work consists of demolition and replacement for the existing central steam boilers with revisions to the central plant as required to de-couple steam service to the Courthouse, dedicating the steam boilers to the Jail facility; new natural gas fired storage type water heaters for the jail facility; new condensing gas fired boilers to serve the Androscoggin County Courthouse; new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems throughout the Androscoggin County Courthouse; new indirect domestic water heaters for the Courthouse facility; replacement for the energy recovery wheels at the Jail; and enhancements to the exhaust ventilation system serving the first floor holding cells at the Jail, including all related architectural, structural, and electrical work required to facilitate te mechanical improvements, as described in the Contract Documents. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 (Five) percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 30 thirty days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Tim. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance required for the Work as specified in AIA Document A101-2017 Exhibit A The Androscoggin County Commissioners reserve the right to accept or reject any and all bids and, at their discretion, to wave all formalities Per owner, all bids were rejected this will re-bid at a future time and date TBD. |
