Description | Project cancelled as of 12/13/22, A timeline for rebid has not been established. The project consists of replacing the existing Bushkill Pumping Station. The project includes the installation of a new doghouse manhole, a new wet well with a submersible grinder and submersible pumps, a new valve building, a new backup generator, a new discharge force main, and associated controls and appurtenances. The City of Easton hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to refuse any or all bids submitted; and also reserves the right to waive any informality in bids received, but any contract awarded will be to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 1/4/2023 5:00 PM The Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act applies to the Project. The successful Bidder shall be required to comply with the Act, and pay wages in accordance with the PA Department of Labor and Industry Prevailing Wage Determination. The Pennsylvania Public Works Employment Verification Act (Act 127 of 2012) also applies to the project. In accordance with the Public Works Employment Verification Act 127, all contractors and subcontractors, as a precondition to receiving a contract on Public Works Projects (defined under the Prevailing Wage Act), are to fully comply with the Act through utilization of the Federal E-Verify Program (EVP) operated by the United States Department of Homeland Security. A fully executed copy of a PUBLIC WORKS EMPLOYMENT VERIFICATION FORM shall be submitted to the Engineer with the contract documents at the time of contract signing. With each pay request, the Contractor shall submit a statement that states they have fully complied with Act 127 with regard to any new employees. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act No. 222. The requirements for Bidders and Contractors under these enactments are explained in the Specifications. Except as otherwise provided by law, no Bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) consecutive calendar days after the actual date of opening thereof, or one hundred twenty (120) consecutive calendar days if the award is delayed by a required approval of another governmental agency, the sale of bonds or the award of a grant or grants. |
