Description | Elgin Maintenance Yard - 595 S. State St. Elgin, IL 60123 & Naperville Maintenance Yard - 28w731 Ogden Ave. - Renovate cold storage D0193 at Elgin Maintenance Yard to increase sizes of overhead doors and electrical capacity, Renovate cold storage D0194 at Elgin Maintenance Yard including repairing failing brick and broken concrete curbs, and construct 40' X 80' pre-engineered wood pole cold storage building and double wide overhead door at Naperville Maintenance Yard bldg. # IDOT032-0002. CDB BUILDING INV. NO. IDOT D0193 & IDOT D0194 CDB BUILDING INV. NO. IDOT 032-0002 20%MBE, 5% WBE, 2% PBE/VBE ELECTRICAL under $ 150,000 1. Elgin Yard: The proposed scope of work for the Elgin sight includes renovating buildings D0193 and D0194. a. D0193: The scope of work for D0193 includes replacing the overhead doors, replacing and raising all lintels to 14 feet, Scrape and paint lintel of door 54, combining doors 50-53 into two double doors, adding a man door to the west elevation, repairing two of the concrete curbs and painting all four curbs, replacing exterior lighting, adding electrical capacity, and power washing brick. The roof and gutter system was recently renovated and will need no work other than areas noted on drawings where gutters are to be removed, salvaged, and reinstalled. Electrical includes demolishing existing conduit to source and pulling a new feed from the specified panel within the Sign Shop to the West. b. D0194: The scope of work for D0194 includes scraping and painting all lintels, scraping and painting corner guards, tuckpoint failing brick on southeast corner, demo and replace brick wall above double overhead door, installing four new concrete curbs and repairing one concrete curb, painting concrete curbs, replacing exterior lighting, and power washing of brick. 2. Naperville Yard: The proposed scope of work is to construct a 40' x 80' (3,200 sf) non-insulated, cold storage building with one double overhead doorat the north elevation, three windows at the south elevation, and one man door on the west elevation. Building to have a small panel to operate the door and for interior and exterior lighting. Structure shall be a pre-engineered wooden pole structure within 6' concrete piers and wood trusses, metal panels for siding and roofing, and an asphalt floor. Roof to have three ventilation cupolas. Scope of work also includes capping and abandoning the existing sewer line that runs underneath the proposed site. Electrical will be pulled from existing panel in the building to the north. Substantial Completion - 270 consecutive calendar days ; (Final Acceptance) within 60 consecutive calendar days from the date of Substantial Completion. - |
