Description | The U.S. General Services Administration is proposing a procurement for construction services utilizing the design-bid-build delivery method via issued for construction documents (IFCs) (i.e. construction drawings and specifications) to execute base building construction (i.e. warm lit shell) and tenant fit-out for a new, ten (10) floor state of the art facility of which one (1) floor is partially below grade (approximately 620,000 GSF). The site for the newly proposed building encompasses both a plateau and ravine. Description of Work Required: The Contractor will be responsible for all labor, materials, equipment, and project oversight (i.e. management and field supervision) to execute the project and contract requirements. Services required to construct the new CISA HQ Building include but are not limited to: • civil and site work consisting of heavy earth work, excavation, stabilization of existing slope, foundations (i.e. caissons and piers), mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) walls, waterproofing, dewatering, utilities (i.e. infrastructure to support storm drainage, sanitary sewer, domestic water, hot/chilled water, normal/emergency power, IT/security) and replacement of potential unsuitable soils; • construction of a new courtyard, plateau, and ravine; • restoration and stabilization of existing adjacent historic structures; • security fencing; • high performance building elements (i.e. photovoltaics, grey water reclamation) to contribute to a minimum of LEED Gold certification; • tie-in to existing central utility plant to support building operations; • fire and life safety systems; • facades incorporating elements from various building materials, including a curtain wall system; • architectural and shared service elements/spaces consisting of a collaboration center, café/food service, multipurpose room, loading dock, and glass partitions; and • coordination with the Owner’s contracted consultants and contractors (e.g. IT/AV, security, and FF&E). |
