C--528A7-8-720 Design Replace AHUS 4, 6, 22, 34, 36

VA intends to award an Architect/Engineer contract for complete design services (preliminary concepts and layouts, program development, investigative services, preparation of contract drawings and specifications, cost estimating services, and construction period services) for Replace AHU 04, 06, 22, 34, 36, Project # 528A7-18-720. This is a 100% total service disabled veteran owned small business set aside. This project proposes to replace five (5) existing Air Handler Units at the Syracuse VA Medical Center. and proposes to provide complete design services (including concepts and layouts, heating/cooling load sizing and verification, temporary equipment plans, program development, investigative services, and cost estimating services) associated with replacing these Air Handling Units. The existing units are located in three remote areas of the Medical Facility. All specific Project Deliverables derived from this Design Service shall delivered in two phases with common specifications and general details existing for both. Deliverable Phase 1 AHU-4, and AHU-6 located on the 9th Floor in Shaft 1, and Shaft 2 respectively. Similar AHU type, Temporary AHU and Exhaust required, and similar Mechanical and Electrical work to be performed. Deliverable Phase 2 AHU-22, AHU-34, and AHU-36 are smaller AHU s, two are self-contained roof tops with integral exhaust. There exists a possibility of combining AHU-34 and AHU-36 into one unit using the other as a temporary unit. AHU-22 is located above the Syracuse VA Auditorium stage and is located in a limited access area.
