Description | Bidding Questions Until: 08/06/2022 5:00:00 PM Technical questions should be addressed to the engineer of record at Bohannan Huston at (505) 823-1000. Each bidder shall be prepared to furnish the owner with satisfactory evidence of their competency to perform the work contemplated. Each bidder will be required to submit with their bid, a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of 5% of their bid, made payable to the Dona Ana County. The County Commissioners agrees to carefully canvass and consider each bid submitted. In consideration thereof, no bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least 60 calendar days. Minimum wage rates on this project shall not be less than the rates in the U.S. Department of Labor Wage Rate Decision No. NM20220035 or the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions, DA-22-1579-A whichever is the higher for each trade or labor classification. Project Description: Construction of taxilanes, utilities, drainage, and mass grading for future hangars. The hangar construction is not in this project. The Base Bid consists of all the utility work, mass grading for the future hangars, and the Taxilane H base course, paving, and marking. Additive Alternate 1 is the Taxilane H1 base course, paving, and marking. Additive Alternate 2 is the installation of steel casings on the utilities under pavements. The work requires the following licenses from New Mexico Construction Industries Division: GF-1 - Fixed Works, Airports or GF-98 - Fixed Works, Construct, alter, or repair fixed works facilities. GF-9 or GF-98. Utility lines (sewage, natural gas and underground telephone cables). EE-98. Residential and commercial electrical wiring 5000 volts, nominal or less and Electrical distribution and transmission systems over 5000 volts, nominal These licenses will be required at the time bids are opened by any contractor bidding on this work. The procurement code, Sections 13-1-28 through 13-1-199, NMSA 1978 (as amended), imposes civil and criminal penalties for its violation. In addition, the New Mexico Criminal Statutes impose felony penalties for illegal bribes, gratuities and kickbacks. The County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities and to accept the bid it deems to be in the best interest of the County to accept. |
