Description | Rancho California Water District (District) invites qualified C-10 Electrical Contractors experienced in generator preventative maintenance and repair services to submit bids to maintain 31 District owned emergency standby power generators ranging in size from 60kW to 1250kW. Qualified contractors will be experienced, factory authorized, trained, certified and knowledgeable in generator maintenance and repair services to repair and maintain Caterpillar, Kholer, Generac and Onan generator units. The awarded contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, supplies, materials, tools, equipment, supervision, and transportation necessary to perform the services as required by these specifications. The District intends to award up to a five (5) year contract as a result of bids received in response to this RFB. The work in general will consists of furnishing all labor, supplies, materials, tools, equipment, supervision, and transportation necessary to provide generator preventative maintenance and as-needed repair services at locations specified herein. All parts, repairs and/or fluid changing must be done with parts and fluids that meet or exceeds the manufacturer's specifications and requirements. All replacement parts shall be new "brand name" OEM specific parts. Substitutions will be permitted only with prior authorization from the District's Project Manager or designee. All work performed on generators will carry a one-year minimum warranty on parts. The Contractor shall properly dispose of used oil, fluids, and filters generated by its services. Questions regarding the RFB shall be submitted electronically through the District's web-based e-Procurement site prior to the deadline for submission of questions. No other members of the District's staff or Governing Board should be contacted about this solicitation during the bidding process. Any and all inquiries and comments regarding this RFB must be communicated in writing, unless otherwise instructed by the District.
