Description

Coating Rehabilitation and Upgrades to the existing 1,000,000 Gallon Elevated Storage Tank. The WORK at the 43rd Avenue Elevated Tank shall consist of: The 43rd Avenue Elevated Tank rehabilitation shall consist of complete removal of all coatings down to bare steel for all piping, ladders, and interior and exterior coatings of the tower. Recoating the entire tank with a Zinc/Polyurethane/Fluoropolymer exterior coating, Zinc/Epoxy/Epoxy interior dry coating, and a Zinc/Epoxy/100% solids plural component epoxy for the interior wet bowl. The below grade valve vault piping shall also be cleaned to bare metal and recoated the same as the interior dry coating. Complete removal and reinstallation of all electrical conduits, lights, receptacles, cables and switches to allow for sandblasting and coating work. Removal and disposal of existing frost jacket and insulation. Installation of new frost jacket and insulation in the below grade vault up to the bottom of the tank bowl. Replacement of the existing drain back valve in the bottom of the bowl. Installation of all mounting brackets and access ports for a complete new Cathodic Protection system that will float in the bowl. Removal and disposal of current CP system that hangs from the roof. Seal weld all CP roof openings from old CP system. Welding and grinding of 2,500 lineal feet of existing weld seams and replacement or plating over 3 full sections of lower bowl steel plate due to excessive corrosion. Installation of a dehumidifier in the below grade valve vault with new electrical breaker service from existing breaker box. Installation of a projection light or lights to fully illuminate the Logo. Light shall be controlled by automatic sensor for operation and connected to existing tank power in control room. Remove and dispose of current safety climb and install new cable fall arrest system. Provide and secure grate over existing ground access overflow pipe. The access hatch to the bowl on the top of the tank must be reworked to seal or a new hatch installed to seal from outside elements. Replace current vent with new frost-free vent. Install 4’ antenna mount on top of tank.
