Engineering and Architectural Services - Repair Steel Cell Backs and Utilities

OGS has currently identified 5 facilities involving the extensive renovation work within facility housing buildings or cell blocks: Clinton Correctional Facility, Auburn Correctional Facility, Elmira Correctional Facility, Sing Sing Correctional Facility and Green Haven Correctional Facility. Renovations and rehabilitation of existing structures and facilities. Replacement and repair of masonry and steel cell walls. Provisions for safety features within catwalk areas between cells. Replacement or repair of cell utilities, including electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems. Familiarity with electronic plumbing control systems. Experience with institutional design including plumbing fixtures, inmate radio systems and opening protections etc. Compliance with the latest building code including review of work done by others for compliance with applicable codes. Application of energy efficiency. A minor requirement of fire protection/fire alarm engineering and structural engineering and architecture Hazardous material investigation and design services for the remediation/ removal of such materials as part of the work of this contract. Services can be provided by the proposed design team including sub-consultants.
