Description | Raritan township municipal utilities authority contract 22-3 main treatment plant septage receiving tank cleaning flemington, new jersey - advertisement the project generally consists of removal and disposal of solids from and cleaning the interior of a 32 foot diameter septage receiving tank at the main treatment plant. all work will be included under a single contract. Either the owner nor the engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of contract documents, including any addenda, obtained from other sources. faxed or emailed bids will not be accepted. the attention of the bidders is called particularly to the requirements with respect to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid as required by the contract documents. the bidders are advised that all surety bonds required must be written by a surety company listed on the u.s. department of the treasury's listing of approved sureties, department circular 570. bid security must accompany each bid and shall be in the amount of the bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00, and may be given, at the option of the bidder, by certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond. bidders shall be prepared to provide proof of qualifications to perform the work as described in section 00103 of the instructions to bidders. time of contract commencement and completion will be in accordance with the agreement. all bids shall remain open for sixty days after the date of the opening of bids except as provided in the instructions to bidders. the owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, as well as the right to waive all informalities in awarding a contract deemed to be in the best interest of the owner. in accordance with the provisions of n.j.s.a. 58:11b-26, n.j.a.c. 7:22-3.17(a)24 and 4.17(a)24, the contractor shall comply with all of the provisions of n.j.a.c. 7:22-9. the bidders are advised that they must comply with the provisions set forth in the new jersey public law, pl 1975, chapter 127, which was enacted into law on june 23, 1975. this law relates to discrimination in connection with certain public contracts and supplements the "law against discrimination" approved april 6, 1945 (pl 1945, c 169) and the state of new jersey public disclosure law (public laws of 1977). the bidder shall comply with p.l. 1999, c.238, the public works contractor registration act, as amended by p.l. 2003, c.91 (n.j.s.a. 34:11-56.48 et. seq.); and the business registration provisions of n.j.s.a. 52:32-44 (p.l. 2004, c.57). raymond frank chief operator/ director consulting engineers: johnson mirmiran and thompson 1200 lenox drive, suite 101 trenton, new jersey 08648-2329. |
