Description

The entity that acquires the EDS will operate, maintain and supplement the EDS and maintain and enhance service to the current users as well as provide additional services to support re-development at Kalaeloa; excluding the nearby Kapilina Estate homes subdivision. The subject is located approx. 8 miles west of Honolulu International Airport and 20 miles west of the Downtown Honolulu area. The EDS includes approximately 66 miles of overhead electrical lines, 12 miles of underground lines, (2) 46kv Hawaiian Electric Company (HECO) Service Points, (5) 11.5 kV Switch Stations, (17) Electrical Substations (11.5kV to 4160kV), (19) Transformers (11.5kV to 480kV), and (10) various Buildings associated with this electrical system.
