Bike Path Connection to the Empire State Trail

Webster St, Sweeney St and the existing Riverwalk Trail in North Tonawanda The project involves several components. First is the construction of a new paved bike/pedestrian trail between the existing Riverwalk Trail in the City of North Tonawanda and the Empire State Trail in the City of Tonawanda. The proposed trail will have both on and off-road sections complete with signage, striping, and landscaping features. The second component includes resurfacing the existing trail from the southern terminus to Gratwick Park. Work includes 1” milling and inlay of asphalt across all active driveways and 1” asphalt overlay of the remaining trail section. The final component includes landscaping enhancements along the entire trail including the installation of wayfinding signs, benches, and miscellaneous plantings.
