Replace existing mechanical items throughout the school and associated architectural items affected by this work. Replace all unit ventilator units and limited metal shelving affected by the replacement. Replace RTU’s serving the Gym and the Lunchroom. Reinforce the structure to support the new RTU locations. Provide associated exterior, roof mounted ductwork. Remove and replace one existing Boiler and provide connection to the second boiler as a way to provide redundancy. Provide supported pipe run in corridor connecting the two boiler rooms for this. Provide ceiling and lighting in the lunchroom. Provide resilient floor patching at each classroom to accommodate unit vent replacement. Provide larger louver openings with lintels at exterior walls for unit vents. Provide a new fire alarm system and intercom system. Prep, prime and paint all spaces in the school. Provide replacement of roof mounted exhaust fans with associated curbs. Provide roof assembly patching, flashing and limited replacement of gravel stop type roof edge where roof patch coincides with roof edge. The work also consists of scope that is isolated as alternate bid work: As part of Alternate Bid 01, remove and replace galvanized pipe water lines with copper water lines. Remove and replace glazed CMU and other masonry walls/ceilings/casework concealing these pipes to accommodate the work. Remove and reinstall all plumbing fixtures and associated accessories to accommodate the work on the plumbing lines. This work affects all toilet rooms, classroom sinks, drinking fountains and the Kitchen. As part of Alternate Bid 02, provide a water heater. Provide mechanical screening as part of Alternate Bid 03.
