2023 Plumbing Services

This contract will be awarded using Competitive Contracting pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-4 et seq. Proposals will be reviewed and evaluated by the Township of Union. A Proposal will then be recommended to the governing body for the award of contract, based on the proposal that is most advantages to the Township of Union. Each Proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashiers Check, or Bid Bond payable to the Township of Union in the amount equal to Ten Percent (10%) of the Bid. The Surety on the Bid Bond must be a Corporate Surety licensed to sign Surety Bonds in the State of New Jersey. No Certified Check, Cashiers Check, or Bid Bond will be accepted if the amount is less than Ten Percent (10%) of the Total Bid Amount but in no event need the same exceed $20,000.00. Deposits accompanying Bids shall be sealed in the Bid Envelope. Alternative bids will not be considered unless specified otherwise in the Technical Specifications. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975 C.127, N.J. (N.J.A.C. 17:27) (Affirmative Action Act), P.L. 1963, C. 150 (Prevailing Wage Act), and Chapter 33, Laws of New Jersey 1977 (Stockholders Names). If awarded a contract your company/firm will be required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975 C. 127 (N.J.A.C. 17:27). In accordance with the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, P.L. 1999, c. 238 (NJSA 34:11-56.48 et seq.), no contractor shall bid on any contract for public work as defined in section 2 of P.L. 1963, c. 150 (NJSA 34:11-56.26) unless the contractor is registered pursuant to this Act. No contractor shall list a subcontractor in a bid proposal for the contract unless the subcontractor is registered pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act at the time the bid is made. No contractor or subcontractor, including a subcontractor not listed in the bid proposal, shall engage in the performance of any public work subject to the contract, unless the contractor or subcontractor is registered pursuant to that Act. The Township of Union reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. The Township of Union reserves the right to sever and make awards of all or parts of any bids to one or more bidders. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Township of Union. One (1) Original copy and two (2) copies of the bid must be fully executed and presented on the proposal form provided. Specifications are not to be submitted with bid documents.
